Take this test and find out…
What Style Bride Are You?
I would describe my every day fashion as…
A. Simple but very put together. Everything I’m wearing must match!
B. I will be wearing an adorable 1950′s sweater that I found in my grandmother’s closet.
C. I have a few go to pieces that you will always see me in but I might change up by accessorizing.
D. I will always be wearing something new. I can’t wait to try the next fashion that comes into stores.
E. The most important thing to me is being comfortable.
My wedding planning strategy has been…
A. Very organized. I have my wedding planner on speed dial.
B. DIY I have loved finding my own centerpieces and creating hand crafted wedding favors but am worried about everything coming together.
C. A little stressed. In some areas I have hired vendors but am putting my own personal touches.
D. Everything for my wedding was designed specifically for me from my wedding gown to my bouquet to the drapery.
E. I have left a lot of the planning aspects up to my friends and family so I can be less stressed. Its time to put all my friends skills to the test!
During my free time you will most likely find me…
A. Having a nice dinner and a glass of wine.
B. Going through the racks at thrift stores or at the coffee shop with friends.
C. On a movie date with my fiancé’.
D. I like to try new things and experiences from a new club to catching a live show with friends.
E. Spending time outdoors. This weekend maybe I will go hiking…
Something borrowed, something blue; my take on wedding traditions…
A. It is very important to me and my family to keep the traditions in my wedding. My something blue is very sentimental.
B. I might not have something for all the traditions, but I know my something blue will have to do with feathers…
C. I am trying to keep the traditions, I mean if I forget one I don’t think it will jinx my wedding. Does it count if no sees my something blue until the honey moon?
D. The traditions don’t really go with the whole feel of my wedding. I don’t think anyone will notice when I am not wearing anything blue.
E. If my bridesmaids bring something blue and something old I am not against wearing it. Other than that I have a lot of things that are borrowed in my wedding so I have that one covered.
I would describe my job as…
A. Structured. I may work in an office or conservative environment.
B. I do something that is my passion so usually “work” spills into my personal life.
C. To me the most important thing about work is that there is a nice environment and I get along with everyone.
D. I am in a position at work where I can express my ideas.
E. I keep my personal life and work very separate. Work pays the bills but friends and family are what make my day.
I want the feel of my wedding to be...
A. Very well put together and classy. Nothing is over the top.
B. I want the guests to know they stepped into my wedding filled with my style.
C. Everything should look elegant and remind everyone of my fiancé’ and myself. Everyone should be teary eyed after they watch the slide show I put together.
D. Wow! Everyone should be in awe of all aspects of this wedding.
E. It is important to me for all my friends to have fun. I can’t wait until the reception when they break out the dance floor.
My daily makeup routine goes something like this…
A. Basically the same thing every day. Not too much, just enough to make me look put together.
B. Winged eyeliner of course and I would never leave the house without red lipstick.
C. I like my makeup to look soft…maybe people will believe I actually wake up this beautiful.
D. Everyday is different. I like to experiment with different colors and techniques.
E. I was supposed to put makeup on today?
When people look back on my wedding I want them to say…
A. Seamless. The wedding went off without a hitch and the bride was just beautiful.
B. This wedding was so neat. We loved all the hand made touches they made it truly unique.
C. Their wedding was so sweet! They really are the cutest couple.
D. Did you see her dress? Ive never seen anything like it! Her hair was awesome. She looked so amazing!
E. That was so much fun! The bride was just glowing.
Mostly A’s-Classic ~ Mostly B’s-Vintage ~ Mostly C’s- Romantic ~ Mostly D’s- Modern ~ Mostly E’s- Natural
You are classic- A sleek and smooth style with an elegant bun might be the most flattering style on you. Keeping the hair simple and timeless will draw attention to your face. For your makeup our stylists recommend a rosy cheek to give you that “blushing bride” look.
You are vintage- Mix the old style with the new! Take part of a past style, such as a jessica rabbit wave and blend it with a fun updo. Our makeup artists would make your look pop with a smokey cat eye and red lip.
You are romantic- Think soft and elegant. Go for a low side bun or have some curls going down your back. Keep it loose and not too uniform to for a flow throughout the look. Wear a deeper color eyeshadow to bring attention to your eyes.
You are modern- Push the limit and try something new. Incorporate a braid into your hair or experiment with texture. Surprise people by wearing an unexpected color on your eyes like purple or even green!
You are natural- You can pull off wearing your hair down in loose waves. To make this look more formal we would pull back just one side. Don’t go too crazy with your makeup because it would probably make you feel uncomfortable. Stick with warm earth tones and choose one feature to accentuate like your lips or eyes.
You tied- Don’t worry you don’t have multiple personalities so don’t commit yourself yet. It is very common to not fit into a single style category. You can have the best of two worlds. Try a vintage hairstyle but mix it up with a modern orange eyeshadow or a natural hairstyle with a vintage red lip!
Find your Stylist
Now that you have a grasp on what style bride you are, it’s time to find the perfect stylist or styling team to create your ideal look. Many brides to be have a hard time choosing their hair and makeup stylist. Lets face it, with so many options out there it is a daunting task. Think of selecting your stylist as you would picking out your bridal gown. You would never walk into a bridal boutique and say “give me the cheapest gown, it doesn’t matter if it fits my body or personal style, I don’t even need to try it on” and you should not shop for your hair and makeup artist in that manner either. Before you find the right “fit” you might need to try a couple different styles. Always look for a professional who offers a bridal trial, uses top of the line products, professional grade styling tools, expert pinning techniques and practices proper sanitation. Your hair and makeup artists will be the ones taking care of you on your wedding day and they should offer a very relaxing experience. On your wedding day you should look beautiful and feel beautiful too.

From the Bride… “Because of John’s love of water, we wanted a “modern ocean theme” for the wedding. However, we also wanted the venue to be in Orlando which made a beach setting very difficult. We came up with the idea of a coral symbol and turned to Denise from Dogwood Blossom Stationery to create this motif for the invitations. She did a wonderful job and this detail became the unifying component to the rest of the wedding… the chuppah, cake and centerpieces all included corals based on the design she created. In addition to giving a theme to the decor of the wedding, we felt that corals were a perfect metaphor for marriage. Though they are beautiful, they take a great deal of work and years to grow”
